NFL: Player Engagement
I worked at NFL headquarters on Park Ave in NYC for about four months. My task was to build a style guide for an internal brand called Player Engagement. It required art direction and also copywriting.

PE provides guidance and structure for NFL Prospects (PREP), current NFL Players (LIFE), and retiring or transitioning players (NEXT)

NFL: PREP
This division deals with highschool and college athletes, so the look and feel of its communications needed to be vibrant and poppy.

NFL: NEXT
The average NFL player retires at 26 at which point it's time to get a new job. That transition is difficult for young men and Player Engagement is there to help.NEXT gives transitioning player
s access to internships, MBA programs, and other resources. The communications are buttoned up and professional.

PREP: Sample Layout
We employed a "widgety" layout strategy that delivered easil- consumed packets of information to an audience with a short attention span.

NFL: LIFE
Professional athletes deal with pressure on and off the field. We aimed to maintain the energy of PREP, but integrate a more professional edge.

Wealth Building Principle
Let's be honest, fiscal responsibility isn't top of mind for the 21 year-old milliionaire athlete. Player Engagement has embedded representatives with teams who provide guidance and resources.

This poster hangs in every NFL team's locker room.
